Connecting to Plantmargin

Wire the 2-wire 4–20 mA loop to a gateway analogue input, powered from 24 V DC. Enter the range so Plantmargin scales 4 mA and 20 mA correctly. Plantmargin reads the value every 10 seconds through the edge gateway, stores it for years as hourly figures, draws it against its normal band, and uses it in cost per unit, alarms and verified savings. The installer pack for your plant lists the exact register or channel to use.

Installation

• Use a thermowell for temperature probes in pressurised lines, so the sensor can be removed without draining.
• Fit a siphon (pigtail) before pressure transmitters on steam.
• Keep signal cables away from VFD output cables; use screened cable earthed at one end.

Before you order

• Tell us the process connection, range and medium. Probe length should put the tip in the middle third of the pipe.

Warranty and support

• Manufacturer's warranty, usually 12–24 months from delivery; the exact period is stated on your quotation.
• Supplied with the datasheet and manual; calibration or test certificate where the product has one.
• Installation, commissioning and connection to Plantmargin can be quoted with the product.
