Connecting to Plantmargin

Inverters connect over Modbus TCP or RS485; the incomer meter shows the effect on grid import. Plantmargin reads solar power and energy every 10 seconds through the edge gateway, stores it for years as hourly figures, draws it against its normal band, and uses it in cost per unit, alarms and verified savings. The installer pack for your plant lists the exact register or channel to use.

Sizing

• Plantmargin sizes solar to the plant's measured daytime base load, so almost all solar is used on site.
• Roof condition, orientation and shading are checked on a site survey before quoting a full system.

Installation

• Installed by licensed solar technicians to EPRA's solar PV regulations, with earthing, surge protection and labelled isolators.

Warranty and support

• Manufacturer's warranty, usually 12–24 months from delivery; the exact period is stated on your quotation.
• Supplied with the datasheet and manual; calibration or test certificate where the product has one.
