IE3 induction motor 160 kW, 4-pole, 400 V. A premium-efficiency motor to IEC 60034-30-1. Over its life, a motor's electricity costs many times its purchase price, so the higher efficiency usually pays back on motors that run most of the day.

When to replace

Installation

• Check frame size, shaft height and mounting against the old motor; send us the old nameplate.
• Align couplings with a laser or dial gauge: misalignment wastes energy and destroys bearings.
