Prepaid sub-meter, single-phase, with relay is a prepaid sub-meter for industrial plants. It switches the supply off when the credit or the monthly allowance runs out, so electricity used by others on your supply is paid for.

Connecting to Plantmargin

Connect the meter's RS485 terminals to the gateway's RS485 line (daisy chain, 120 Ω at both ends), or plug it into the plant network if it has Ethernet. Plantmargin reads energy, power, power factor and demand every 10 seconds through the edge gateway, stores it for years as hourly figures, draws it against its normal band, and uses it in cost per unit, alarms and verified savings. The installer pack for your plant lists the exact register or channel to use.

Installation

• DIN-rail or panel mounting inside an existing MCC or a small meter enclosure.
• Direct-connected meters carry the load current themselves: stay within the rated current.
• Work inside panels is done by a licensed electrician under the site's permit to work, with the supply isolated.

Before you order

• Tell us the feeder's voltage, normal and maximum current, and whether the panel has space and a 230 V supply.
• For several meters on one RS485 line, each needs its own Modbus address (we set them before delivery if you ask).

Warranty and support

• Manufacturer's warranty, usually 12–24 months from delivery; the exact period is stated on your quotation.
• Supplied with the datasheet and manual; calibration or test certificate where the product has one.
• Installation, commissioning and connection to Plantmargin can be quoted with the product.
