Connecting to Plantmargin

Fixed sensors connect to an analogue or IO-Link input, or report wirelessly through a LoRaWAN gateway; handheld instruments are used on routes and entered in field rounds. Plantmargin reads vibration and temperature every 10 seconds through the edge gateway, stores it for years as hourly figures, draws it against its normal band, and uses it in cost per unit, alarms and verified savings. The installer pack for your plant lists the exact register or channel to use.

Installation

• Mount on the bearing housing, close to the load zone, on a flat, clean surface (stud mounting is best; magnetic for surveys).
• Take the first readings with the machine in good condition: Plantmargin uses them as the machine's normal band.

Warranty and support

• Manufacturer's warranty, usually 12–24 months from delivery; the exact period is stated on your quotation.
• Supplied with the datasheet and manual; calibration or test certificate where the product has one.
• Installation, commissioning and connection to Plantmargin can be quoted with the product.
